Suggest a topic yourself
Frankly speaking, I am always stumped by requests like “Our expert is ready to write you a column. What would you like it about?” And I don’t know at all – he is the expert, not me. He should a priori understand his topic better than me and understand what problems are relevant in it.
Of course, I can evaluate whether it will be uk telegram database interesting or not. But the initiative must come from the expert. Write at least a paragraph of text, about which he can write a detailed column. But shifting the problem of choice to the journalist is completely wrong. It is easier to give up and refuse.
Don't create dissonance
It's funny when the level of an expert doesn't match what he's talking about. Just recently, The Edinorog readers and I laughed at a column by a senior (!) vice president of a corporation about how to bypass app store bans.
Of course, the topic is relevant. But since the senior vice president sat down to write a column (which is hard to believe, but oh well), then we could ask him to write a text on a more global topic.
