According to psychologist David Paul Ausubel , Meaningful Learning occurs when the individual establishes relationships between what he learns and what he already knows; that is, he integrates what he has learned into the schemes he already has in understanding “the real thing.”

Cinema is a means of communication and dissemination, and as such, it offers us the opportunity to use it in the classroom by awakening the student's curiosity about the subject dealt with in a particular film. Through cinema we are able to feel, suffer and live many lives and situations and learn from them; therefore, its use in the classroom constitutes a formidable tool to put meaningful learning into practice.

Cinema provides us with topics for reflection and debate mexico phone data through the arguments it develops; therefore, a film correctly selected for class can help us achieve some objectives such as, for example; reflecting on the world that is presented, analyzing its social and cultural structure, with the aim of carrying out tasks in which the student shows his reflection and criticism on the subject dealt with in the film, etc.
