It was amazing! This is the summary of the Best Trick Competition that was held at the "Horse Garden" in downtown Jerusalem. Horse Garden has been known for years as a pure street spot with a classic ledge on the descent. There is a statue of a horse in the garden, which is where the bizarre name comes from, and not because horse candy is given out there (Bambelik in Jerusalemite)...
Paco SkateboardThe spot is challenging and comfortable and allows the surfer to gain speed and land, in the event of a fall, on the grass or on the skull in the flat area. Before the Best Trick competition, a trick landing competition was held, with 20 NIS for each trick landed. If you repeat the same trick (which happened more than once during the competition), you don't get any money...
There are no words for what went on there (there will be a short video that will describe the commotion). People jumped on each other. In general, the attendance at the competition was beyond impressive and there were skaters from all over the country. What wasn't there, Aziz's Nusblunt Slide, Udi Hasson's huge Blunt Slide, Omar's Flip to Backside Tail Fake Out and many, many more tricks.
I was on the megaphone, Gili told me, "Come do some tricks..." But I didn't know why I fell...
Try standing in front of two hundred skaters who are shaking phone number data sweating and everyone comes and yells at you that you landed some trick you didn't see because some guy just passed by (of course). In any case, it was crazy fun. There hasn't been such a pace of competition in years, not times, not one by one, not "the perfect run" just a session. Crazy for the guys with an economic twist that pays off for everyone...
There were people who earned 80 NIS and those with 20 NIS because they landed first fifty, 5-0, front board, etc., but once they covered the simple tricks it started to get very interesting. In the end we saw a noli flip to nose slide, a noli hill to crooked, and so on. You'll understand that after what went on there after all the commotion, the best trick competition began. It calmed down but was still a mess. Here we're talking about 600 NIS for the first prize. The audience is the judge. Yes, it's undoubtedly better and no less challenging since you need to be remembered...
I wrote down what people landed because not everyone started landing. It was impossible to keep up with the desperate attempts of the skaters who didn't stop coming at a crazy pace. Aziz did a 270-out tailslide, Omar did a flip to a beautiful backside tail slide, Paco didn't stop landing, and from a list of 6 The main tricks that landed 3 (!!!) of which were his, the main and most amazing was, a nose cub to a very long croaked 180 out... There was also a croaked to a backside leap 180 out, a cracker flip to a fast and huge backside leap! In addition, let's not forget Nagler's switch to a backside tail that managed to get into the nomination with this powerful trick, a tremendous tribute to the man and the legend...
Gilly for organizing first of all, Klisha, all the participants from all over the country, Pub Notch, Pub Uganda, Chakra Restaurant, Bizarre Tattoo Studio, Pub Sira, Adrenaline Magazine, Element Skateboards and Gene G.
