You can also add exceptions, allowing certain people to see your status or preventing telegram data specific users from accessing it.
Note: If you hide your last seen from someone, you won’t be able to see theirs either. Telegram will show an approximate status like “recently” or “within a week.”
Profile Photo Privacy
You can decide who gets to view your profile photo or avatar.
Go to: Settings → Privacy and Security → Profile Photos
Choose from:
Everybody
My Contacts
Nobody (with custom exceptions)
This feature is especially helpful for public channel owners or administrators who want to separate their public and private identities.
By default, Telegram allows anyone to send you a message. However, you can restrict who can contact you directly.
Go to: Settings → Privacy and Security → Messages
Options:
Everybody
My Contacts
Block specific users or create exceptions
This is particularly useful if you get spammed by people from public groups or channels.
Call Privacy
Telegram also provides granular control over who can call you via voice or video.
Go to: Settings → Privacy and Security → Calls
Control:
Who can call you: Everyone, My Contacts, Nobody
Peer-to-peer connection setting (to hide your IP address)
Peer-to-Peer: Nobody — the most private option
This helps protect your device’s IP address and prevent spam calls.
