Using Site Search Tracking in Google Analytics correctly

Post by sakibkhan29188 »

During our Google Analytics audit, we recommend that most of our clients use the Site Search Overview. These are search queries initiated using the internal search. This overview provides insight into what customers are searching for on your site or in your store. It also allows you to find out where customers are searching for it.

Before considering the relevance of the report, it's important to consider how valuable uae phone number data the information can be. Users literally take the time to share why they came to the site.

The data collected can be used to determine whether certain products are missing from the store (customers are searching for products not included in the store) or whether they cannot find the desired products independently (customers are searching for products included in the store). In the latter case, we should consider navigation and customer guidance.

This is what a site search overview might look like:

If your website currently has more than ten pages, I highly recommend implementing this feature. Modern CMS systems actually offer this functionality by default (we're happy to help with any questions). This allows users to search for information they can't find right away.

TIP: If you have a small website and don't see any reason to include a search function, consider making it available at least on error pages (404s, etc.). This has the advantage of allowing users to search for the content they were actually expecting.
