How to implement Twitter Cards?
There are two ways to implement Twitter Cards , each offering different formats:
Through the Twitter developer platform . By generating HTML code that is inserted into the web page. You will need a basic knowledge of HTML.
Through the Twitter advertising platform , by designing a Twitter Card with a call-to-action button. Once created, you can promote it with an advertising campaign to a targeted audience, or send it with a standard tweet to the account's followers.
Setting up Twitter Cards in Twitter Developers
Step 1: Go to the developer platform and select your Twitter Card . There are seven types: Summary Card (includes the page title, description, and a small image), Summary Card with Large Image (similar to the previous one, but with a larger image), Photo Card (includes only a large-format photo), Gallery Card (allows you to include up to four images), App Card (to promote a mobile app, includes details about the app and a direct link for the download), Player Card (to embed audiovisual material), and Product Card (includes relevant content about a product).
Step 2: Complete the required code for Twitter Cards. The tags and code will vary depending on the card type you selected. Next, insert the code into the HTML of the webpage for which you've set up the card. And yes, I'm afraid you'll need some basic HTML knowledge to set them up properly.
Step 3: Validate the code with Twitter's Card Validator . You'll need to enter the URL of the website where you inserted the tags. The system will show you a preview.
