There is a preferential car loan program in Russia. It allows you to significantly reduce your car purchase costs. Currently, only drivers with Russian citizenship can receive a preferential car loan. You need to fall into one of the following categories:
you have a disability and a certificate confirming this status;
you have a minor child, you are registered and live in the Far Eastern Federal District;
you work in a public medical or educational institution;

you are a pensioner who has served in the military;
You are trading in your old car under the trade-in program.

What are the approval times for a preferential car loan?
Your application will be reviewed within a period of two weeks to one month. If your application is approved, you will have to come back to the car dealership or bank and sign the contract. Then you will have to wait until the funds from the bank are transferred to the car seller, receive the car and documents for it, and register it with the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate. The last step is to transfer the documents for the new car to the bank where you took out the loan.
