Peter Wanner has pulled off a clever move: the new "Switzerland at the weekend". It will be published for the first time on March 4th. The paper is not really new, though. It will either be an expanded Saturday edition of the "Aargauer Zeitung" or the "Switzerland at the Sunday", which will already be published on Saturdays, as editor-in-chief Patrik Müller announced at the end of 2016.
From a business perspective, " Switzerland at the greece rcs data weekend" is smart. Firstly, costs are reduced. Not only is the expensive Sunday delivery no longer necessary. In future, the editorial team of the "Aargauer Zeitung" can say goodbye to the weekend on Thursday evening, because the Saturday edition is delivered by the current "Switzerland at the weekend" (SaS), or rather the new "Switzerland at the weekend". And the SaS editorial team, which is still physically separate from the "Aargauer Zeitung", no longer has to go to the office on Saturday; it can send its texts off for printing on Friday evening.
Secondly, the name is well chosen. "Switzerland at the weekend" has a national appeal - beyond the region. This brand, as well as the fact that there is now serious discussion about changing the criteria for the Wemf surveys so that "Switzerland at the weekend" can be compared with the Sunday newspapers, enables Wanner to continue to access certain lucrative advertising funds. The advertising industry particularly values the Sunday press: thick supplements, advertorials and advertisements from advertisers in the financial, real estate and luxury sectors prove this.
