When he was able to present

The invitation to the "Arena" was therefore an ideal opportunity for him to present his theses to a larger public. He was not in the least interested in the official topic of the show, "Trump and the media," which is why he did not vote on it. Instead, he repeatedly steered the discussion towards the 9/11 conspiracy and the warmonger Obama. And himself as the victim of manipulation due to an email that was not shown in full, the show got so out of hand that moderator Jonas Projer even threatened canada rcs data to cancel it, which would have been a one-off scandal. And suddenly it was no longer Daniele Ganser who was being pilloried as a conspiracy theorist, but rather the "Arena" editorial team in particular and "the media" in general, as Ganser triumphantly shouted to the crowd. Afterwards, he celebrated this victory together with his community, which he had whipped up on Facebook, with an international tsunami of anger, the peak of which was the complaints sent in on time from all over the world, visible to all.

All of this raises the fundamental question of whether it makes sense to engage in public discussions with conspiracy theorists. Or whether it will always be the same or similar to what happened in the "Arena". This means that a discussion with them based on rational arguments is impossible. And that the clever conspiracy theory stars manipulate every show to suit their own interests in order to be able to spread their theories. The effect is that they can arouse additional positive emotions in their community. And doubters of conspiracy theories are unsettled because they are presented with a multitude of so-called facts, not all of which can be conclusively refuted in such a short space of time. Shows like the "Arena" thrive on the fact that not all of the same faces spout the same slogans. That is why Jonas Projer occasionally invites a former Miss Switzerland or a blogger with a migration background. This stimulates the TV business. But the fun stops with conspiracy theorists. This is where boundaries are crossed. And that's why you should think twice about inviting them into the studio. The "Arena" with Daniele Ganser suggests that the answer should be no.
