Most online stores usually have a promo code field on the checkout page. You might be surprised to know that it's one of the reasons online shoppers leave your page. They'll search for it on Google! And they might be taken to other sites that search for it, making your sales funnel a little bit off track.

To avoid this scenario, you can surprise them with a unique coupon code that will appear when they reach the checkout page and stay there for a few seconds. The checkout page is critical, and if you think a shopper is rather hesitant, a coupon code might be the best strategy to entice them to buy.

Other website owners also offer coupon codes for second purchases, which is also effective in bringing visitors back.

How to do this:

In your Poptin dashboard, find the additional elements and click Coupon . Edit it accordingly and place it on your eCommerce popup. I used one of Poptin’s templates for this popup and customized it.
