Basically, the AMP format helps improve the performance of websites when browsing from mobile devices. The peculiarity of this solution is given by the formats in the output of the page display, since it is always based on the classic HTML, CSS and JavaScript, in which however different tags, functions or rules are taken up and used (in part), all aimed at eliminating the heaviest elements to load without giving up in any case on graphic customizations, animations or even sponsored ads, therefore offering overall a complete but much faster experience for those who access the resources.
An example are the proprietary JavaScript libraries , which maximize page rendering by using an asynchronous loading technique, disable CSS selectors that are too heavy and also use an optimized cache management that the benefit of our ios database allows to boost the overall loading speed up to almost 3 or 4 times the original one.
Are AMP pages better then?
They certainly bring a series of advantages, but moving a website or a blog (also) to AMP is not a job to be done without preparation and knowledge of the facts, because if it is true that the loading speeds are exceptional, on the other hand we may have to give up features that can still be convenient for us, so the decision must be taken calmly and trying to work to succeed (even if difficult) in having the famous goat together with the famous cabbages, in the same solution.
Small note: In the first official releases of Google (to this day it is still talked about and experimented a lot) there was talk of an improved exposure in mobile searches, especially after the release of the famous Mobile First Index . Obviously, all the major content producers such as the large information portals immediately welcomed the news and got to work to implement the new introductions to the maximum.
