Are companies ready to do without parallel imports?

Post by tanjimajuha20 »

Price/quality ratio of Russian hardware

When asked by a ComNews correspondent whether domestic products differ in cost from foreign products imported through parallel import, Vladislav Ganyushin replied that the cost of Russian and foreign computer and server equipment is approximately the same.

"There are no questions about the quality of the hardware, because the components of all Russian and foreign brands are actually manufactured at the same factories in Asia. On bahamas whatsapp resource the other hand, Russian laptops may be slightly less technologically advanced than flagship models of foreign brands, but at the same time have a lower cost. Among our models, two laptop models are in the greatest demand - "Enox" and "Silver". The same rule applies to servers. But when we compare complex products, such as server equipment, their important component is the software shell, which increases the ease of management and improves monitoring. Russian manufacturers rarely offer high-level solutions," added Vladislav Ganyushin.

"Cost is one of the main risks that we highlight for customers when choosing parallel imports. It is extremely difficult to give any assessment due to the instability of the currency market. Non-transparent pricing, complex logistics and sometimes unpredictable delivery times can disrupt the implementation of projects," added Alexey Zotov.

"Four out of ten companies continue to use parallel imports - and Russian distributors have already learned to resolve issues with the warranty. The tendency to purchase Russian equipment is more evident among large corporations than among medium and small businesses. Inferit Technika's stock is about 50 thousand platforms for personal computers and monoblocks and about 4,000 platforms for server equipment, which allows us to ship, for example, 3,000 personal computers or 200 servers within two weeks," said Vladislav Ganyushin.

According to Oleg Epishin, Inferit's sales director, the trend of switching to solutions from domestic manufacturers is already evident, and administrative measures from the state can speed up this process, but one should not expect a rapid replacement of the equipment fleet, since not all users are ready to abandon Western solutions due to established business processes and system compatibility requirements.

"Large customers are unlikely to be able to completely abandon parallel imports," says Alexey Zotov, "but their number is gradually decreasing, since it is important for them to receive products with transparent logistics, clear pricing and accessible technical support at level L3, as well as to comply with the regulator's requirement to transfer critical information infrastructure to domestic solutions."

Andrey Shtonda, Director of the Product Development Department at SiTri Solutions LLC (Russian manufacturer of C3 Solutions equipment), notes that demand on the market is several times higher than supply in many areas, including servers, so the state should stimulate production - offer manufacturers preferential loans, provide the industry with high-level personnel, create technological production hubs to offset the factor of long waiting times for spare parts due to long logistics chains from Asia, etc.
