Between Urban's incredible performance and Alex Garland's Ex Machina, Dredd's writing style is pretty over-the-top, violent and gritty in your face, but it also finds humor in its self-irony. Who could ask for more? Best known for her role on the Emmy Award-winning episode of in the limited series The Untrustworthy, she has gone on to star in a number of more grounded dramas and thrillers.

Amazon Studios is adapting it into a TV series so hopefully we'll see more of this in the future. Hellboy: The Golden Army Although you may want to watch Hellboy first, Guillermo del Toro's third entry in a planned trilogy, there's no doubt that Hellboy: The Golden Army is an excellent movie.

Long story short if you've ever wanted to wash away the self-righteousness of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy then this Dark Horse Comics superhero romp is for you.
