3. Select "Add Filter" and set the filter name to something that makes it clear that it is "Referrer founder email lists Spam". Set the filter type to "Exclude" and select "Referral" in the filter field. Enter the target URL in the filter pattern.
4. Select "All website data", add and save, and you're done.
One of the characteristics of referrer spam is that the language setting is not set. By setting the language setting to "(not set)", you can exclude referrer spam.
1. As with "Setting a URL in a filter" above, log in to Google Analytics and go to "Admin", "Account", and "All Filters".
2. Click "+ Filter" to create a new filter. Set an easy-to-understand name for "Filter Name" and select "Custom" and "Exclude". Select "(not set)" for "Filter Pattern", add "All website data", click Save and you're done.
Use the bot filtering feature
This is the easiest setting to exclude referrer spam. The bot filtering function is a function that excludes malicious programs registered as bots in Google.
