Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets Anatoly Aksakov believes that a crypto exchange in Russia may appear in the near future, possibly before the end of the year. The parliamentarian told TASS about this.

Siluanov announced at the nigeria whatsapp resource All-Russian Youth Educational Forum "Territory of Meanings" that the creation of crypto exchanges in the Russian Federation is being discussed together with the Bank of Russia. However, the parties have not yet reached a consensus on this issue.

"I hope that [a crypto exchange will appear in Russia] in the near future, maybe even in the second half of this year. Since there are potential participants in this process, it is important to simply, so to speak, test them," Aksakov believes.

According to him, first of all, it is necessary to work out mechanisms for access and control of all processes. "Secondly, it is important that, let's say, this is not particularly advertised, since this means that the enemies will see who is participating in this process. Therefore, they will take steps to block the actions of such institutions," the deputy explained.

In early August, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law legalizing cryptocurrency mining activities in the Russian Federation. This will allow for the formation of law enforcement practices, including for further comprehensive regulation of the issuance and circulation of digital currencies.
