he company "Akron Ecology" (part of the "Akron Holding" Group of Companies) has chosen a site in the Rostov Region for the construction of a plant for the processing of waste electronic and electrical equipment. The enterprise with a processing capacity of 36 thousand tons per year will be located near Bataysk. This was reported by the press service of the Investment Development Agency of the Rostov Region.

The enterprise will be equipped with high-tech equipment that eliminates pollution of soil, water and air. In parallel with the construction of the plant, a network for collecting electronic waste will be created similar to the solutions for separate collection of secondary raw materials that the company is already implementing in other regions.
1 billion rubles with the potential to grow to 2.5 - 4 billion rubles and a gradual increase in processing capacity to almost 60 thousand tons per year. More than 140 thousand tons of waste from electronic and electrical equipment accumulate annually in the south of Russia. The project will allow for the processing of up to 40% of such waste, its reuse for the creation of new products, and a reduction in the burden on the ecosystem," says Igor Burakov, General Director of the Rostov Region Investment Development Agency.
Akron Holding notes that one of the priority tasks for the success of the project is to develop a culture of separate waste collection. The company already has experience in creating a network of eco-points for collecting recyclable materials in Moscow and the Moscow region, where electronic scrap is accepted for a cash reward.
The Rostov Region Investment Development Agency and Acron Holding signed an agreement on the project to build a plant for processing electronic scrap at the Innoprom forum. Another partner of the project is the Russian Ecological Operator.
The project for recycling electronic scrap meets the objectives of the federal project "Closed Cycle Economy" and the National Project "Ecology".
