People with learning disabilities, cognitive or mobility limitations or speech deficiencies, among others.
From here, web accessibility solutions become more diverse, as the needs are different not only for each group, but also for each individual person.
Thus, there are computer mice of different shapes to try to respond to mobility limitations, various eye-tracking technologies that allow commands to be controlled by looking at them, and other solutions.
As a general rule, access to such technologies is quite expensive.
For example, a special mouse costs ten times list of phone number in philippines more than a standard mouse, and the learning effort that people who need it have to make is enormous.
There is a lack of support to cover the cost of these solutions, as well as support for learning, and universal accessibility is still a long way off.
The ray of hope is that technology continues to advance.
What can I do to make my website (more) accessible?
Ideally, accessibility should be considered in the first phase of a web project and the entire site should be designed following W3C criteria.
If your website is already up and running, this is obviously no longer possible. But you can improve it! To do so, review your site with the tools I have suggested and keep all users in mind when creating content.
If your site is WordPress, I recommend this exceptional post by Fernando Tellado, where the topic is discussed in a very comprehensive manner.
Conclusion
I cannot end this article without thanking all the people who have participated by giving me their time, their knowledge and their help.
I am especially grateful to Victoria and Enrique, as well as other disabled people who have also generously collaborated.
As we have seen, technology advances and improves accessibility, but in addition, it is necessary for all webmasters to be aware of these needs and adapt our sites and content to be compatible with these devices and programs.
There are many other types of disabilities
