Step by step: Add a site in Google Webmaster Tools
The first thing we must clarify is that it is not something complicated , and that the only requirement is to have a Google account, if you have a Gmail email, it is the only thing you need.

Click on the “Add Property” button, as shown in the following image.

Then, in the pop-up window that appears, paste the full URL you want to add, as shown in the image and click Continue.

Then, you need to verify ownership of the site or section of the website you've added, telling Google that the site is yours. You'll have options to do so.
The first one, which is the “Recommended Method” and the easiest to do, you must download the .html file that it indicates and then upload it to the root of your Web, you can do this through the file manager or FTP, this should have been given to you by your hosting provider, it should be in the previously installed panel. You must upload the file in “public_html” . Once uploaded, go back to Webmaster Tools and click on verify.
There are other options such as: Domain Name Provider, HTML Tag, Google Analytics Tracking Code, Google Tag Manager Container Snippet, Google Sites, and Blogger.
Sites hosted on Google, such as Blogger, are automatically verified.

Whichever method you choose, you will receive a message from Google, indicating that you have successfully registered.

Google periodically checks to see if your verification method is still valid, for example, if you have the HTML file on your website. If it cannot do so, after a “grace period” your ownership of that site will expire.

For multiple domains and protocols
If your site uses multiple protocols (i.e. http:// and https://), you must add each one separately, following the steps above. The same applies if you have multiple domains (such as example.com, m.example.com, and www.example.com), more details on this configuration later.

Getting started with your Search Console account
Once you have completed the registration process, you will be able to enter your site's Control Panel, where you will see the options and be able to refine your personal and website settings.

Site preferences
Set your preferred domain, with www and without-www : The one you choose is the one you want to be used to index your site's pages, sometimes called canonical. Your preferred domain is the version of your site that you want to be used in search results. You should always register both versions.

How to do it?

On the Search Console home page, click the site you want.
Then click on the gear icon, and then on Site Settings.
In the preferred domain section, select the option you want.
Once you've chosen a domain, you'll want to use a 301 redirect to redirect non-preferred domain traffic to the preferred one.

By targeting search results to a specific country, Google search engine displays the most relevant results and useful sites for users, meaning that a user who does a search in Spain will not receive the same result for the same search in Mexico, even if both are in Spanish. If your site has a top-level domain, such as .com or .net, defining the country helps Google determine which countries are important. If your country has a country code, such as “.es,” it is already associated with a region, Spain in this case.

How is it done?

On the Search Console home page, click the site you want to configure.

Click on Search Traffic on the left panel, a tab will appear, there click on International Targeting.
Then click on the “Country” tab.
