So why do we still invest so much time and resources in building our brand and community on social media? What happens (and this is doom-mongering and I happen to be very good at it) if, for example, the increasing number of privacy scandals finally doom Mark? Exactly, say goodbye to your carefully built fan base and your well-performing ad campaigns.


Why build your dream home on rented land?

As I said, it would of course be an exceptional situation if one of the major social media platforms were to go country email list under. And this obviously does not happen overnight. Don't get me wrong, I will be the last to say that it is not important to be visible on social media and to build a good brand name.

I do believe that this alone is not enough. You will also have to actively build a community on your own channel. What I am actually trying to say is that, just like in Domino Day (who remembers it?), you need to have an extra lifeline running. A protective safety net of pebbles that keeps running if the first line of stones is unexpectedly taken down by a flying sparrow .
