Why is the sitemap so important?

Post by sakib40 »

The purpose of a sitemap is to help search engines understand a site and its entire content. It is a technical contribution that impacts organic positioning.

This doesn't mean that the absence of a sitemap is a serious mistake or crypto currency database that it could harm organic traffic. Many factors affect ranking; however, having a sitemap can greatly contribute to meeting SEO goals and improving page rankings in search engines.

What are the formats of a Sitemap?
There are several types of sitemaps. Below, we'll detail some of them:

XLM
This is the most widely used format on the web. It's a list of URLs designed in a coded language specifically geared toward SEO optimization . It can be created manually or with specific tools. Images and videos can also be added to this format.

TXT
This is a simpler format, but it lacks some important information, such as the date the URL was modified and the date of page changes. It's a text file that can be created in a common editor like Word.

Atom-RSS
Atom RSS is widely used for blogs. In this format, the news section functions as a sitemap, and the publication date is a priority. Its use is similar to a content aggregator where users can subscribe.
