The 47th US President Donald Trump, who took office on January 20, began his new term, as promised, by signing a large number of presidential decrees. As of the morning of January 21, Moscow time, about 40 such acts have been published on the White House website .

Interestingly, during his first term as head of state, Trump signed 220 executive orders. 72 of them were subsequently cancelled, including by Joe Biden, who replaced Trump.

restriction on acquisition of US citizenship by birth . This order prohibits the admission to US citizenship of people born in the United States if their mother was in the country illegally or temporarily, and the father was not a US citizen or permanent resident at the time of birth;
reinstating the widespread use of the death penalty for "all crimes the gravity of which requires it." Crimes such as the murder of a law enforcement officer and crimes committed by illegal immigrants are specifically noted;
restoration of names “in honor of American greatness” (it was this decree that began the process of renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, and Mount Denali to Mount McKinley);
restoration of freedom of speech and the abolition of state censorship;
accountability of former government officials for election interference and disclosure of sensitive government information;
unlocking Alaska's resource potential ;
unlocking the country's energy potential .
