Speed measurements from real users

The same tool also provides industry comparisons so you can get an idea of how far you are from the top-performing sites in your industry.

Once the site is live, you can start evaluating site speed based on the users visiting your site. If you have Google Analytics, you can easily compare the average load time of the new site to the previous site.

Additionally, if you have access to a real-world user monitoring tool like Pingdom , you can estimate site speed based on the number of users visiting your website. The map below illustrates how different armenia number data visitors experience very different loading times depending on their geographic location. In the example below, page load times appear satisfactory for visitors from the UK, US, and Germany, but are much slower for users living in other countries.

Step 6: Measure site migration performance
When to measure?
Was the site migration successful? This is the million-dollar question that everyone involved will want to know the answer to as soon as the new site goes live. In fact, the longer you wait, the clearer the answer will become, as visibility can be very volatile during the first few weeks or months, depending on the size and authority of your site. For smaller sites, a 4-6 week period should be sufficient before comparing the visibility of the new site with the old site. For larger websites, you may need to wait at least 2-3 months before measuring.
