The campus network configuration

Post by rakhirhif8963 »

Most enterprise campus networks are already using LTE or 5G NSA architecture. Experts estimate that it will take another two to three years before enterprises decide to invest in upgrading to 5G SA. In this regard, a campus network with 4G/LTE base stations based on the LTE core network was selected for study.

for industrial enterprises, as recommended by the 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation, the organization that oversees the implementation of 5G in the industrial sector, has four options:

deployment as an isolated network without the use of latvia mobile database operator equipment - in this case, the network is managed by the enterprise's IT department or a separate company;
deployment with a common radio access network - in this case, the core network is located on campus, but uses the telecom operator's equipment together with regular cellular users;
managed deployment with a shared radio access network - this option is similar to the second, but the enterprise receives access to campus network management from the telecom operator;
Public network deployment is a long-standing industry practice where a dedicated access point (APN) is dedicated to the enterprise.

Since the objective of the study was to identify vulnerabilities of campus networks, an isolated network based on its own equipment was deployed to build a model network of the steel plant. In order not to interfere with the operation of the telecommunications networks of telecom operators, all radio modules of the equipment were shielded.
