They apologized for this afterwards

But now Donald Trump has set a lot in motion with his sledgehammer rhetoric, his constant lies and his often grotesque tweets. For example, he has been referring to the New York Times, the newspaper he reads every day and from which he most longs to be praised, as "the failing New York Times" for weeks, even though both online and print subscriptions have skyrocketed since his election victory. Zack Investment Research, which focuses on analyzing important companies, has upgraded its europe rcs data recommendation for the New York Times from "sell" to "hold," even though the financial consequences of the Trump boom are not yet fully reflected in the company data available to date. CNN is experiencing something similar, having miraculously caught up with Fox News, the leading right-wing broadcaster for years.

How can all this be explained after the Trump election victory, which the mainstream media had not predicted, led to a deafening bashing? In fact, most media outlets overlooked developments in some states. But this error does not discredit their entire reporting, which was much less one-sided than the Trump squad portrayed.

After the election victory and the inauguration, it dawned on many circles that they needed the media, which are not infallible but are largely reputable, more urgently than ever before.
