Now Apple is getting more attention
Apple wants to grow, but it has been increasingly restricted in recent years. According to many consumers, competitors and regulators, the tech giant only thinks about profit.
For intentionally slowing down older iPhone models.
Secretly listens to Siri recordings.
Forces developers to introduce paid in-app purchases.
Limits competition — as in the case of Epic.
Violates privacy in an attempt to combat unwanted and egypt number data criminal content.
Exploits labor in China.
Does not support ethnic diversity in leadership.
And leaked corporate emails confirm that the company values a closed ecosystem and works with developers on a variety of terms. It also hires lobbyists to confront regulators and is rumored to be threatening to divest from some organizations if its operations are restricted.
Many of these problems didn't exist under Jobs. But someone else may have to deal with them. Cook himself has been with the company for 23 years and recently said he'll probably leave in a decade.
