How to Minimize Risks for Sellers

Post by nusaiba127 »

Let's look at the main risks and ways to mitigate them.

The growth of not always fair competition
In one of our projects, we encountered the following: The client produces their product at a Chinese enterprise. When optimizing one of the product cards, we discovered that a certain Chinese store sells this product under the same brand, but at 2 times cheaper than the Client's price. Yes, even taking into account delivery from China.

And this was discovered almost by accident: Ozon a sri lanka consumer email list ttached a competitor's card to our card in the Price Index section, which caused our Price Index to get worse, and this led to a decrease in the search results.

We were forced to contact Ozon support as a private individual (buyer). When we requested documents for the product, we were told that this was a product of a foreign seller who was not required to provide documents.

Let's be clear: if a product is subject to mandatory certification/declaration, but at the request of an interested party the seller does not provide the required document within the allotted time, the product card is blocked by the marketplace.

In this situation, this would have solved all the problems, but we had to contact them on behalf of the seller, and support responded that in order to resolve this issue, you need to be the owner of the trademark.
