How to integrate corporate mail and mailing service (using RuSender as an example)

Post by Reddi2 »

You add a new domain in the RuSender dashboard (in the settings section).
Confirm it using DNS records (the lines will need to be entered in the control panel of the corporate mail service if you have fully delegated the domain, or in the registrar panel if you have redirected only MX records).
After the domain verification procedure, you need to add the mailing sender's address (use the already created corporate mailbox or create a new one specifically for mailings).
Please verify ownership of the address.
Done, you can send emails from your corporate address.
Let's look at the individual steps in as much detail as possible.

1. Domain verification
Once the administrator account has been created in the chosen corporate email service, you need to add and verify the domain.

There are two options here.

The first is when you only need mail.
The second is when DNS hosting is needed (full control over domain name resource records).
Since many domain registrars provide DNS hosting services on a paid basis, we recommend redirecting the domain to the corporate mail service in full (and not just to connect mailings). All necessary settings, including subsequent redirection to the site hosting (if any) can be done in the convenient interface of the mail service. This is the format we will consider below.

Go to the domain connection page (inside the corporate mail service).
Enter your domain name (add new domain).
The domain will now appear unverified.
The service will offer several options for confirmation (usually this is adding text DNS records, adding a special meta tag in the site code, or creating an HTML page with special content). We recommend peru phone number data confirmation via the DNS system because it will work even if you do not have a website yet (or do not even plan to have one).
Create a TXT record in the domain resource strings. Specify the "@" symbol as the subdomain, and enter the text suggested by the corporate mail service as the line content. For example: «yandex-verification: 98h5lb63j34,5n88jj»or «mailru-domain: 7hh5g5k3h3k33o». Your code should be here.
Instead of confirmation, the domain can be fully delegated to corporate mail servers. To do this, you need to specify the addresses of the primary and secondary NS server. For example, to delegate to Yandex DNS hosting, you need to specify «dns1.yandex.net.»and «dns2.yandex.net.», Mail.ru may have different servers of the type «gorod.ens.mail.ru.». The period at the end is required, if there is one.
The domain verification process may take some time. This is because the DNS system updates data in a descending order from the center to the periphery.

If you fully delegate the domain to the DNS hosting of the corporate mail provider, then MX, SPF and DKIM records can be generated automatically. You will only have to set up integration with the mailing service. In this case, you will need to edit the records in a special corporate mail interface.

If there was no full delegation, you will have to edit resource records through the control panel of the registrar or another DNS hosting.
