The Podolsk City Court has ruled that the actions of Wildberries LLC to write off money for goods from cards deleted from the client's personal account are illegal, the press service of the Rospotrebnadzor Administration for the Tula Region reported. The Administration is the plaintiff in this dispute.

At the beginning of 2023, the department received complaints from consumers who had Wildberries LLC write off funds to pay for goods from cards that did not have an account in the online store (deleted cards).

"The court found the actions of Wildberries LLC to be unlawful in relation to an unspecified ( circle - IF ) of consumers, which consisted of a unilateral change in the terms of the obligation - the debiting of funds for goods based on existing payment details, not agreed upon with consumers, and ordered the company to stop debiting funds for goods based on existing payment details of bank cards deleted from the personal account," the statement said.
