In the first quarter of 2021, VTsIOM conducted a survey to identify problems in women's businesses. Based on the results of 100 female entrepreneurs surveyed in Moscow aged 18–59, it was found that 72% of participants launched a business project without anyone's support, 25% decided to take this step with the approval of their relatives. The answers challenged the popular belief that a woman can only start a business with funding from a man or by being a relative of an influential person.


Desire for an independent position, no incentive to work for someone else – 46%. Self-realization – 37%. The need to provide for family and children – 25%. The desire to feel useful in society – 23%. The percentage of women entrepreneurs gambling data turkey in the capital has grown from 36.6 to 43% over the past 1.5 years (during the pandemic). Representatives of the fairer sex start with a small home business, eventually turning ideas for women into large-scale projects with high profitability.


The success of women's business in figures is 16% higher than that of men. As much as it would be tempting to put women on par with men in terms of entrepreneurial achievements, the reality is that financial institutions and serious investors are reluctant to trust the fairer sex. The reasons for this are the following: lack of general knowledge due to maternity leave, the inability of a woman to focus only on the work sphere and the need to simultaneously solve domestic problems, which results in a lack of deep perception of new information and poor orientation in technical innovations.
