You can move your mouse below the title or press the Tab key on your keyboard to move the cursor down and start typing.

However, if you want to add something else, you can click the Add New Block [+] button in the top left corner of the editor, below an existing block, or to the right of a block.

When you click the button, the Add Block menu appears with a search bar at the top and frequently used blocks at the bottom.

You can click tabs to browse block categories or enter a keyword to quickly search for a specific block.

If you don't want to click the button with your mouse, you can also use a keyboard shortcut.

Working with blocks in the new editor
Each block has a toolbar that appears at the top of the block. The buttons in the toolbar change depending on the block you are editing.

For example, in the image below we are working on a paragraph block which shows basic formatting buttons like text alignment, bold, italic, insert link and more options available under the three-dot menu.

In addition to the toolbar, each block can have its own block settings, which appear in the right column of the view.

These settings vary depending on the block you are editing. For example, in the Paragraph block, you can edit the text, background, and link color, as well as the typography.
