Threads: passing fad or perennial force?

Post by monira444 »

On the launch day of Threads, what we saw was a lot of enthusiastic people creating their accounts (there are 30 million users in less than 24 hours), just as they did with the launch of other social networks such as Be Real, Clubhouse and Koo. We are, indeed, witnessing pure “hype” for the launch of the new social network from the giant Meta. On the other hand, there are plenty of memes swearing that this is the next internet “flop”, complaining, for example, that you can't delete your Threads account because Instagram would follow suit, highlighting the abusive use of cookies and other problems.

But the truth is that there hasn't been enough active morocco whatsapp data time to be able to conclude whether this new social network would be effective and widely used in the long term. However, there are many interesting points that we should be aware of:

The whole problem with Twitter is that users have been looking for a new robust platform like the controversial Elon Musk's for a while now.
The strange change that Instagram is making to get closer to TikTok: first they wanted to compete and become a video app and then they stopped prioritizing these formats. Now, they are creating a network like Twitter that is very different from TikTok, as if they had changed the new target of war because the other is already becoming much more than a fun app and even competes with Google in search engines.
The way to find the Threads app within Instagram is quite innovative and draws attention to the fact that they are going to put all the effort they can into this.
The size and influence that Instagram and other Meta apps have around the world makes me believe that they are strong enough to take down Twitter.
For companies, I think it might be interesting to enter Threads now to “surf” the hype, but without great expectations that there will still be active users in the coming months.
