Major energy and natural resources companies have united into a group called the ANO "Consortium for Technological Independence of Industrial Software" (Consortium TN IPO). The entry about the new association appeared in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on August 20.

The consortium included eight participants: PJSC Gazprom Neft, PJSC Gazprom, JSC MCC EuroChem, PJSC NOVATEK, JSC Rosgeologiya, SIBUR Digital LLC, PJSC Tatneft im. V.D. Shashin and PJSC Transneft.

In March 2024, at a demo day of the Industrial Competence Center (ICC) "Chemistry", Denis Yudakov, Head of Digital Development and Technological Independence of Information Systems at Sibur Digital LLC, announced that, within the framework of a certain industrial consortium, Sibur Digital is creating software to replace Hysys from the American company AspenTech.

The partners in the development and co-financing of this project were Sibur, EuroChem, Gazprom Neft and NOVATEK.

As Denis Yudakov explained, this AspenTech import substitution project was not supposed to be a joint venture, but a hybrid interaction, where funding is consolidated and the result belongs to all the companies that participated in the funding.

For the first time on the creation of a consortium to ensure technological independence of the oil and gas industryit was saida year ago, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum - 2023 (SPIEF). On June 15, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, an agreement was signed on preparations for the registration of an industrial consortium. At that time, it was said that it would include PJSC Gazprom, PJSC Gazprom Neft, PJSC Lukoil, PJSC Tatneft, PJSC Novatek, PJSC Sibur Holding, JSC Zarubezhneft, JSC Rosgeology and PJSC Transneft.

A year later, neither PAO Lukoil nor AO Zarubezhneft are on the list of consortium founders. Instead of PAO Sibur Holding, OOO Sibur Digital joined the association, and among the new participants, not mentioned a year earlier, is AO MCC EuroChem.

Dmitry Chernyshenko noted at the SPIEF that the consortium should combine the efforts of "13 major target companies to achieve that very technological sovereignty," the goal of which is "to achieve full sovereignty in at least 12 key areas by 2026-2028, which should cover the entire production chain: from geological exploration to hydrocarbon processing."

A year ago it was known that the consortium being created would complement the work of the Industrial Competence Center (ICC) "Oil and Gas, Petrochemistry and Subsoil Use" as a project office. As Dmitry Chernyshenko noted, the companies included in this ICC are implementing 28 projects worth more than 11 billion rubles.
