Post by Bappy32 »

You are active on various social networks, but it is not working out. There is little interaction and you hardly get any response to a question you ask. Perhaps we can help you on your way. In this edition of the Infographic Day series, we give 10 tips to improve your social media messages.
The infographic below was developed by ShortStack and The Social Skinny . In the visualization, they give ten tips to improve your tweets, Facebook updates and other messages, so that your followers will respond more often.

1. Interesting facts
Post interesting facts for your followers. Play into their needs. What do they value? What do they find interesting to read? Write an article or blog post about it and refer to it on your social media accounts.

2. Give tips
Share more tips too. Let’s say you’re a dietician. You could write a blog post south africa mobile phone number list with tips on how to diet effectively. That way, you show that you know your stuff. Readers are more likely to click on the link if you put the word ‘tip’ in your social media post.

3. Share your opinion
You can also refer to interesting articles by others. In your social media post, don't just put the link to the site, but also let us know why you think it's such a good article or what you think about the subject.

4. Ask regularlya question will only elicit responses. If you want to interact with your followers as a beginner on social networks, make sure they follow you. Asking a question and having few or no followers will not quickly elicit a response.

5. Take action
Inspire your followers with interesting messages. And also make them take action. When you use 'tweet' or 'pin' in your status update, they are more likely to bring your message to the attention of their followers.

6. Let followers know what to expect
People don't just do something. They want to know what they will get out of it or what they can expect. This also applies online. For example, if you place a link to a video on YouTube or on your own site, then include what your followers can expect. What is it about? How long is the video?

7. PS
In email marketing, 'ps' appears to be an effective word. It stands out and entices readers to read the message. It also appears to work in status updates on Twitter and Facebook, for example. So consider whether you can place a 'ps' at the end of your message.

8. Use short links
Use url shorteners, programs like Bit.ly and Ow.ly , to shorten your links. This creates more space in your social media message and your followers will not see a message that only consists of a long link and hardly any text. In addition, you can keep track of how often your placed link has been clicked in these programs, provided you use an account. This way you can measure the number of clicks. Handy!

9. Use text in combination with images
A picture is worth a thousand words, it is a well-known saying. There is a trend going on online. Some call it 'the visual revolution', others 'the picture economy'. Various studies show that you can expect more interaction and response when you use images in your messages. But you can also use a combination of image and text. There are various tools that you can use for this, such as PicMonkey .

10. What do you think?
A final tip given by the creators of the infographic below is to ask your followers for their opinion. For example, are you sharing an article via Twitter? Ask your followers what they think. This way, you can start a discussion about a specific topic. But here too, this only works if you are active online and have followers. And be active in the discussion that arises.
