Africa No Filter , Electric South and Imisi3D are some of the other organisations they are working with, in this case helping to push the boundaries of digital storytelling using immersive technology through ‘Amplifying African Voices’. They are also facilitating the development of external research by working alongside entities such as Howard University, the University of Hong Kong, Seoul National University and the National University of Singapore.
In the company’s words, “The metaverse isn’t a single product that any one company can build on its own. Like the internet, the metaverse exists whether Facebook is there or not. And it won’t be built overnight. Many of these products will only be fully realized in the next 10 to 15 years. While that’s frustrating for those of us eager to dive in, it gives us time to ask the hard questions about how they should be built . ”
