Consumption by gender

Women use social media slightly more than men, although the percentage is similar, so we are faced with a very equal consumption.

On a day-to-day basis, women prefer Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, while men prefer Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and access LinkedIn more (1,172,075 versus 935,744).

There is a big difference if we look at Pinterest, where men have less than 500,000 unique users per day, while women have more than a million. Something similar, although with a less marked difference, occurs at BeReal, where 332,587 women access the site daily compared to 246,093 men.

Tenerife Tourism is holding a conference to explain to the island sector the ins and outs of the plan and how businesses can benefit from it to deal with the growing digital threats. The main objective of the conference was to raise awareness among companies about the importance of participating in the plan and to warn of the digital threats to which the sector is exposed, using different real cases as examples.

The Plan aims to create a tourism and technological ecosystem that allows companies to provide technical and legal security in the digital environment to visitors. To do so, it includes the continuous evaluation of companies in order to identify possible vulnerabilities in their services and applications.
