The easiest way to reach an audience of cyber sportsmen is to organize your own tournament. Sponsorship or integration into the game can cost tens of millions of rubles. Holding competitions does not always require such a budget. Everything depends on the goals of the brand and the scale of the event. This is a flexible format that is limited only by the imagination and capabilities of the company.
We also decided to follow the trends and held a Counter Strike tournament. Initially, we planned it as entertainment. We wanted to unite our colleagues around a competitive event, to “shake up” the team. We expected 8-10 teams, but 20 came to the tournament. It took almost a month. One match lasted more than three hours. The event became a real challenge for our team. We “got our lumps”, gained experience, which we would like to tell about in more detail.
What difficulties did we encounter when netherlands whatsapp phone number holding the cyber tournament and how did we solve them?
Unpredictability of the tournament grid . Before the tournament, it is difficult to predict how many teams will want to take part in it. We were not prepared for the high interest in our event. 128 people participated in the tournament. In parallel with the tournament, we had to quickly look for new commentators who were ready to immediately join. It was difficult, but we found our "star" who conquered all the participants with his comments.
Technical difficulties on the platform side . The success of the event largely depends on the streaming platform and the processes that occur on the game developer side. When it was time to launch the broadcast, we simply could not connect to the Challengermode platform because the information on the Counter-Strike 2 servers was being updated. The platform's technical support tried to help us, but they also did not know how to solve this problem.
As a result, we solved the problem ourselves: we added an additional CSTV server for each game to avoid such situations in the future. But one day of our tournament still passed without coverage. It was very stressful, but now we are glad that the problem lasted only a day, and we successfully covered all the other matches.
Problems with the cyber club . Cyber sports clubs undertake to hold tournaments, but their capabilities are not always sufficient for the organizer: not enough space, computer places, etc. There is also a risk of equipment failure, increased noise in the clubs due to overlapping events.
