Online scams have become a real problem for Internet users and, in particular, for those who buy from e-commerce sites. These are the main threats for our customers.
E -commerce has experienced a real boom in Spain in recent years. According to data from the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC) , the volume of electronic commerce business has almost tripled from the first quarter of 2021 to December 31, 2022, when 19.65 billion euros were collected.
It is therefore likely that the 20 billion mark will have been surpassed in the first half of the year, as the e-commerce trend is clearly on the rise almost quarter after quarter.

According to the survey 'New habits in payment methods in Spain 2023', carried out by PaynoPain, a company specialising in the development of online payment tools, 6 out of 10 people have suffered some attempt at a phishing scam, pharming or some other type of cybercrime throughout their lives.
The study states that 38.6% of Spaniards surveyed have fallen into the networks of cybercriminals, while 38.1% have avoided it, but have suffered 'some attempts'.
These attacks can have different consequences, such as the theft of personal data or the loss of significant amounts of money, which is why many users may become hesitant to make online purchases.
