The turbulence that Uber has experienced within its company in recent months already suggested that the controversy would culminate in the departure of its CEO, Travis Kalanick. And so it has been.

Although this is not a definitive goodbye, but rather an indefinite see you later. This is what Kalanick himself has confirmed in an email he sent to the company's employees.

"I need to take some time, get away from the routine to mourn the death of my mother, whom I buried on Friday, to reflect, to work on myself and focus on building a world-leading team," the Uber employee said in the text.

"If we're going to work on Uber 2.0, I also need to work on Travis 2.0 to become the leader this company needs and that you deserve ," he continues.

This announcement comes after several scandals involving Kalanick himself and allegations benin phone number of sexual harassment and discrimination by an employee.

Likewise, one of Uber's board members, David Bonderman , resigned last Tuesday after making a sexist comment during a meeting in which the recommendations of the United States Attorney General, Eric Holder , were presented after investigating the ethics and leadership problems at the company.

Among the suggestions was the need to “review and relocate Travis Kalanick’s responsibilities.” And this seems to be what the CEO has done, stepping aside for an indefinite period from the company that urgently needs a facelift.
