Why digital marketing is all about talk and all about action, according to Gary Vaynerchuk

Gary Vaynerchuk , CEO of VaynerMedia (one of the most vibrant digital agencies on the American marketing scene), can't help but ooze excitement from every pore when he talks (excitedly) about social media marketing, a discipline in which he has a (well-deserved) reputation as a guru.
Vaynerchuk took to the stage this morning at the Online Marketing Rockstars festival to dissect, with his clairvoyant (and critical) eye, the digital universe in which we are currently immersed.
According to VaynerMedia's CEO, social media is the digital age that is the essence of everything, absolutely everything, in our lives, while smartphones are our vital remote control . And the key to getting the most out of 2.0 platforms is to capture people's attention. An attention that does not necessarily involve the omnipresent video. "This format, despite its omnipresence, is not the best way to communicate, or at least not for everyone," he stresses.
To capture people's attention, you need content, which netherlands phone data can take multiple formats. The bad thing? That content is often consumed in an extraordinarily superficial way. “We are in the age of headline readers. People rarely go beyond the headline, they don't respect the written word ,” Vaynerchuk stresses.
The head of VaynerMedia also points out that in the digital galaxy people talk a lot, but do little. “There are unfortunately many architects and very few plumbers ,” he stresses. “I am surprised at how far some people's mouths are from their actions,” he says.
“Instead of talking and complaining, people should take action ,” Vaynerchuck says. “Forget about inspiration and all that nonsense. Be practical and stop losing money,” he adds. “Don’t read about possible ways to succeed on Snapchat. Download the app and do something,” he emphasizes.
In light of the (absurd) insistence that some people put into talking and not doing what they talk about, Vaynerchuk is fully convinced that “the worst thing that can happen to someone in life is regret , regret for not having done something.”
In his presentation, Vaynerchuk also had words for current (non-marketing) issues such as Donald Trump or Brexit. “We all have problems, but they are not as bad as they used to be in the past . Trump and Brexit are bad, but the Black Death was much worse ,” he concludes.
