With this post we help you understand a little better what the Youth Guarantee program is and, in this way, help you resolve doubts. WHAT IS IT?: The Youth Guarantee System is a European initiative, which aims to help young people access the job market. This Youth Entrepreneurship strategy was approved in 2013, with the aim that those young people under 30 years of age, who are not working or studying, can receive (within a maximum period of 4 months), an offer of employment, education, or training in practice.
The figures speak for themselves and the reality is that almost 5 million young people between the ages of 20 and 24 are neither in training nor have access to any job. Spain is no exception to this situation and joins these figures by occupying sixth place in the region, since, according to Eurostat, the European statistical agency , 34.5% of twenty-somethings in the country are considered “ninis”.
For this reason, the Ministry of Labour, Migration luxembourg phone data and Social Security launched the Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Strategy some time ago .
The objective: to improve the employability, qualification and professional integration of young people.
The Youth Guarantee Programme is part of the short-term measures implemented within this strategy, offering young people under 30 years of age 100% free courses to continue their education.
This training is aimed at obtaining an official qualification, but the key and main advantage of these courses is that they all include internships in companies and the possibility of obtaining a work contract of at least six months for 30% of the students who successfully complete the course.
For many, this may be their first approach to the job market and they may gain some experience to reflect on their CV; a highly sought-after requirement in all selection processes in which they may participate.
Therefore, at the same time as young people are training, they put into practice the knowledge and skills they have acquired and obtain a qualification that qualifies them to be able to practice a profession.
Working tirelessly to give today's youth a chance is investing in the future and sustainability of society in general. Measures such as those included in the Youth Guarantee Programme are increasingly necessary to overcome unemployment and improve youth employability.
You can see more about all this on the website of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security .
Once you know that you meet the requirements, you are ready to register in the Youth Guarantee file .
