A wait time needs to be added. This is the time between when a cart is created and when the reminder email is sent. Various times can be set to remind the customer in the next 2, 24 and 72 hours .
One point to note is that if the customer makes the purchase during this “delay time”, the automation will be eliminated and the email will not be sent.
4. Sending the abandoned cart email
After the delay time, the next step is to send an email. Choose the template you want to use for your abandoned cart.
Select “Use my event data” and “The event data that triggered the workflow options.” These options allow Brevo to customize your email with the abandoned cart information.
Additionally, Brevo allows you to blind copy this email and uganda number data choose when to send it: You can choose to send it “at the best time” (maximize open rates by delivering emails at the optimal time for each recipient during a 24-hour period) or select a specific time period.
5. The buyer purchases or completes the cart
This would be the exit condition to remove the abandoned cart automation, for which you need to select “order_completed” from the “Custom Event (Track Event)” dropdown.
Other events may also occur that cause the automation to be removed:
If the buyer deletes a product inside the cart, you must remove it from the automation through the “cart_deleted” event.
If the buyer updates the cart or creates a new one , you must restart the automation via the “cart_updatd” event.
