Keep Media: Controls how long media (photos, videos, files) is kept on your device's local storage before automatically being cleared from cache. You can set this from 3 days to "Forever."
Clear Cache: Manually clears all cached media to free up space.
Implication: Helps manage local data storage and privacy on your device.

Description: If you previously allowed Telegram to sync your phone contacts, you can delete them from Telegram's servers.
Implication: Gives you control over contact data uploaded to Telegram. Note that if you turn off syncing, names will appear as numbers in your chats unless they have set a public username.
Proxy Settings:

Description: Allows you to configure a proxy server (e.g., SOCKS5) to route your Telegram telegram data traffic through.
Implication: Masks your IP address from Telegram's servers, adding a layer of anonymity, especially useful in regions with internet restrictions or for users desiring extreme privacy.
V. Additional Privacy Considerations
Username: Setting a public username (@yourusername) allows others to find and message you without knowing your phone number. While convenient, it also makes your profile publicly discoverable.
People Nearby: This feature, if enabled, can reveal your precise location to other Telegram users nearby who also have the feature enabled. It's off by default and should be used with caution if privacy is a concern.
Public Chats (Groups and Channels): Content shared in public groups and channels is inherently public and accessible to anyone. Even though Telegram encrypts this data, it's designed for broad dissemination, not private communication.
