**Verifying Data Deletion**

Once the deletion process has been completed, verification is crucial. For users who have deleted their accounts, attempting to log back into Telegram will yield a message indicating that the account has been permanently deleted. For those who merely cleared chats or messages, users may skim through their chat list to ensure that the intended deletions have taken effect. While Telegram offers an assurance of data deletion, users should remain vigilant with periodic checks to guarantee their digital clean slate remains intact.

Options: You can change this to:

3 days: Clears media older than 3 days.

1 week: Clears media older than 1 week.

1 month: Clears media older than 1 month.

Unlimited: Keeps media indefinitely (same as "Forever").

Recommendation: Setting this to "1 week" or "1 month" is highly telegram data recommended. It automates the process of clearing old cache, preventing Telegram from consuming excessive storage without requiring manual intervention.

If you identify that a particular group or channel is consuming a disproportionate amount of storage, Telegram allows you to clear its media specifically.

How to do it: In the "Storage Usage" screen, scroll down to see a list of your chats, groups, and channels, along with the storage they consume. Long-press on a specific chat, and you'll get an option to clear its media.

Benefit: This is useful for targeted cleaning without affecting other conversations.
