Today's review will be devoted to the Yealink SIP-T19 ​​phone , which has macedonia phone numbers become the most budget device in the Yealink business line of IP phones , replacing the previously released Yealink SIP-T18 model. I will try to show all the advantages of the SIP-T19 ​​over the SIP-T18, which is becoming history, and at the same time compare the new phone with more expensive Yealink models and with budget solutions from other well-known manufacturers.

Today, IP telephony is increasingly penetrating the corporate sector. Many companies sooner or later face the need to abandon outdated analog PBXs and devices that can no longer cope with modern business tasks. The task of re-equipping a telephone system may also arise during active company growth, increasing the number of dedicated offices or employees, moving to new premises that are not equipped with analog lines, or simply wanting to optimize the budget for telephone calls. At the same time, new companies appear on the market whose work is impossible without providing customers and employees with convenient telephone communication. Both old and new companies often have a fairly limited budget for organizing a telephone system. In this case, the cost of one workstation plays the primary role in choosing equipment. It is no coincidence that each of the IP telephone manufacturers strives to present the most budget-friendly models on the market, while at the same time meeting the requirements of a corporate IP telephone.

It was in this capacity that Yealink SIP-T19 ​​was presented to us, which came in two versions: Yealink SIP-T19 ​​- without support for network power supply and Yealink SIP-T19P - with support for PoE.

Packaging and delivery set
Yealink products are officially supplied to the Russian market by IPIMATIKA, which provides full localization and technical support for the equipment. The SIP-T19 ​​packaging has a familiar design localized for the Russian user.

The delivery set includes a telephone set, a handset, a stand for installation on a table, a handset cable, a network cable, a 220V power supply, a quick user guide and an official warranty card.


Design and controls of the phone
The Yealink SIP-T19 ​​case has a classic layout and is made of pleasant matte plastic. On the left side is the telephone handset, under which is the speakerphone speaker. The upper part of the front side is occupied by a screen extension with a wide display in the center and a status indicator light. Under the display are four multifunctional keys, and just below the digital dialing keys, five navigation keys and six special buttons:

Below the numeric keypad are two volume control buttons.

I received a device from the very first Russian delivery (test batch) for testing, which does not have Russian localization. To Russify the interface, it was necessary to install the latest firmware, but placing Russian letters on the keyboard is a bit more difficult. In the first mass delivery, the manufacturer promises phones that initially have a Russified interface and Russian alphabet on the keyboard.

On the left end of the case there are sockets for connecting the handset and headset.


On the bottom you can see a small hole for the speakerphone microphone.

On the back of the case there are two RJ45 network sockets, a power socket, holes for attaching a table stand and “ears” for wall mounting.


Installing and configuring the phone
To install the phone, simply connect the handset to it, install the stand (if the phone will be used on a table), connect the phone to the Internet and to a 220V power supply (if the network does not support PoE).

After loading, the phone can be configured using the keyboard, but it is much more convenient to do this using the WEB interface. To do this, simply press the central button of the control keys and get access to the phone status, the first item of which is the received IP address in the network (if the network operates in DHCP mode).

By going to this address in the browser, we see the authorization window and enter the standard login/password pair - admin/admin.


After authorization, we get to the first window of the Status tab, which displays: the software version installed on the phone, IPv4 or IPv6 mode, IP address and other network parameters, the MAC address of the device, the PC port mode (bridge or NAT) and the registration status of the SIP account.


Go to the Account tab and configure the SIP account parameters. In my case, I used the corporate mini PBX data , but for using the phone at home, the data obtained during registration with any SIP operator will do.

Select Enabled in the Account item, fill in the Label, Display Name, Registration Name, User Name, Password and SIP Server Address fields, and then click the "Save" button. If everything is filled in correctly, after a few seconds the Registration Status item will change to "Registered", after which the phone can be used to make calls.

In fact, the basic setup of the phone takes no more than a minute and in most cases it will be enough to use the phone. However, Yealink SIP-T19 ​​allows you to configure the phone no worse than the most expensive models, with the exception of only a few parameters.

A little more detail about the phone settings:
The account tab also contains several advanced settings items, containing a variety of options for more detailed configuration.

The Network tab allows you to configure network settings, including Internet port modes (IPv4 or IPv6, DHCP or static IP address) and PC port.
The DSS Buttons tab allows you to fully configure the functionality of all the phone buttons (except for the numeric keypad and volume control), assigning any of the available functions from the list to each key: Speed ​​Dial, Direct Capture, Group Capture, PTT, Local Contact Group, XML Contact Group, XML Browser, History, Menu, Forward, DND, Call Back, SMS, SMS, XML Book, Status, Local Book, Change User, Preset, Lock, Contacts.


The Functions tab allows you to configure the basic functions of the phone, including: setting up call forwarding and DND, intercom, transfer, call pickup, keypad lock, system sounds, SMS, etc.

Settings - basic phone settings, including: Date and Time settings, Software Update, AutoProvision management, saving and loading phone configuration, working with dialing rules, etc.

The Contacts tab allows you to work with the local and remote contact book, view call statistics, manage contact groups and the Black List.

The last tab, Security , allows you to change the phone's administrator password and manage network administrator rights certificates.

During testing, the phone had firmware 31.71.14.4 installed, providing full interface localization. Most items have convenient tips that allow you to quickly understand the necessary settings.
