Selecting a website theme

Post by mdabuhasan »

The site's subject matter should be as narrow as possible. In addition, if you feel like expanding it, you can always do so, but narrowing it will be much more difficult.

What are the advantages of a narrowly focused website from an SEO perspective?
The first advantage is that search engines (Yandex, Google) respect sites that are fully saturated with the main topic more. A thematic site immediately becomes more relevant for many key queries on a given topic than sites that carry a "bouquet" of completely unrelated topics. To put it simply: if your site is only about SEO promotion, it will get a hundred plus (and possibly more) in search engine results compared to a site that contains templates for various CMS and several SEO articles (or even a large SEO section). Naturally, this will only apply to queries about SEO promotion.

The second advantage of choosing a narrow topic for a site is the ease of its promotion in search engines. How does this differ from the previous advantage? Let me explain.

This advantage is related to external SEO optimization, namely, to purchasing external links to your site. No matter how you look at it, you will have to buy links. And you should buy links only from sites that are related to yours in subject matter, and not just from the same category.

The more similar your sites are in topic, the more useful a link to you will be. A link from a thematically similar site will not only increase the site's rating, but will also be much more relevant than a link to an Internet project that is not identical to yours in topic, or simply has a vague topic.
The main advantage of choosing a narrow topic for a site: administrators of sites with a vague topic are much more limited in their choice of ways to earn income from their resource. Why? I will not go into detail, I will only give a couple of examples. Since we are going to create sites that will start generating income as soon as possible, we will talk about ways to earn money on young sites.

Let's take, for example, earnings on phone number library
exchanges that post permanent links (RotaPost, Blogun, etc.). Remember, in the paragraph above I said that links should only be purchased from sites that are similar in subject matter. This principle also works in the opposite direction. All more or less competent optimizers know this, and strive to buy links only from sites whose subject matter they need, but what if they cannot determine it?

And believe me, for all the time I've been optimizing sites, I've always found a huge pile of sites through link exchanges whose topics I simply couldn't determine (the kind of "everything, to everyone, about everything"). Tell me, who's going to buy links from them? When the administrators of these sites realize their mistake, they try to push the fact that their site has a huge indexing speed. Even if it's lightning fast, I'll pay for links that are needed just to speed up the indexing of a page as much as a Twitter mention costs (pennies), since the result is the same for Twitter or for a site with a TIC of 1000, but not the right topic. Buying links from non-thematic resources is only appropriate if you envy the traffic to this resource and want to redirect some of the traffic, but it's better to do this by posting entire articles on the donor site, not links, and the article should be competent and SEO-optimized. Quite a labor-intensive task if you don’t order such articles from experienced copywriters.
