Previously, spam forwards and fake data were a problem for accurately performing on-site analytics with Universal Analytics.

With the new version of Google Analytics, spam won't be a problem , since by requiring measurement protocol calls to include a key, it will only be visible in the main page settings.

New reports
The main difference between Google Analytics 4 and fusion database Universal Analytics reports is the way data is presented and the structure of the reports.

In Google Analytics 4, reporting has been streamlined to be more user-centric. Instead of presenting multiple pieces of data without context, it now focuses on the user lifecycle with a more contextual view and insight into how things are going in your business .

In contrast, Universal Analytics reports focus more on traffic metrics and analyzing website activity, making it more difficult to gain a complete view of user behavior over time.

GA4 the future of web analytics
Maintaining user privacy has become increasingly important, and certain restrictions have been implemented that have hindered Universal Analytics from recording customer interactions.

In response, Google innovated, and now with GA4, it will no longer need to store IP addresses or rely on cookies to offer user-centric measurement. This means it has more comprehensive controls over data collection.

Furthermore, being built with machine learning, it could be a promising solution to fill previously unavailable gaps in customer data and information caused by users who don't accept cookies.

For this reason, Universal Analytics will be relegated to the background due to the data gaps that existed , as a complete analysis of user behavior was not legally possible.
