Have you noticed this while bravely fighting the chaos that COVID has created? Healthcare workers, security forces, businesses providing essential services and several others have been the main warriors in this fight. They are risking their lives and isolating themselves from their families while providing numerous services to the affected. Hats off to these warriors!

There are also unsung heroes who are silently walking the whatsapp number database extra mile to lend a helping hand. Individually or in groups, they have provided food, care packages, medicines, shelter, etc. Yet, you rarely hear or read about these people who have given their time, effort and money to care for people and animals.

Thanks to the efforts of one of our valued partners, Ramesh Chander (MD of Rixyncs) , Vtiger CRM got the opportunity to work with one such volunteer group, the Corona Warriors. The Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) of Bangalore, India, was tasked with providing food and essential services through volunteers.
As thousands of volunteers began signing up, DIPR began spending most of its time and effort managing data through Excel spreadsheets instead of managing the actual activities. Multiple sheets were being handled by different people, and this created problems – missing up-to-date data and duplication of data were just the beginning. Combining this process with the offline tasks of creating and distributing ID cards added additional complexity.

Vtiger CRM entered this field with a solution - Electronic ID cards in a day!
Our employees volunteered to create a special application to manage the data and tasks associated with this operation. They created the application in record time and coped with the following tasks without any problems:

Volunteer data management
Define the role of volunteers
Check IDs
Create an email ID with a QR code
Integrate with user contact information (phone number and email id) to send URL and QR code to volunteers
This app has made the process a lot easier. Once the volunteers fill the form with their details, the information will be verified. The app will send a URL and QR code to the registered phone numbers and email addresses of those who have been verified. The sign-up could download their Email Identification Number (EID) on their phone or print it out, which could then be used for their allotted activities and at police checkpoints.
The app has made the management of operations easier by updating data in real time and eliminating duplicate data.
