The Special Campaign Financing Fund (FEFC) was a measure approved in 2017 by the National Congress that provides for the donation of more than R$1.7 billion for parties to carry out their campaigns. This money comes from the General Budget of the Union and its use and distribution follow some precepts:

I - 2% divided equally among all parties with statutes registered with the Superior Electoral Court;

II - 35% divided among the parties that have at least one representative in the Chamber of Deputies, in proportion to the percentage of votes they obtained in the last general election for the Chamber of Deputies;

IV - 15% divided between the parties, in proportion to the number of representatives in the Federal Senate, considering the parties of the incumbents.
