We highlight the low rate of corporate investment in startups in the region: while in the US 55% of corporations invest in startups, in Latin America only 5% do. Here, the opportunity is clear, but a change of mentality is needed. Corporations must see startups as allies, not threats, and entrepreneurs must understand the timing and corporate culture for effective collaboration.
Finally, we discuss the difference in the perception of failure: in startups, failure is part of learning, while in large companies, the fear of failure slows innovation. The key to growth is to foster collaboration between all actors in the ecosystem and embrace the courage needed to innovate.

Meeting with the Captain of Los Pumas, Juli Montoya
I had the pleasure of meeting up again with a great friend and exceptional leader: Julián Montoya, the captain of Los Pumas. The last time we had a deep conversation was last year, at a barbecue at my house. This time, the meeting was even more special, as it took place in my hometown, Santiago del Estero.
We talked about the importance of never forgetting our roots and being proud of who we are, even if we don't have luxuries. I told him about the efforts of the leaders and coaches of my beloved Santiago Lawn Tennis club , who, without expecting anything in return, go out of their way to improve the club. Julián greatly appreciated the club and how they welcomed him.
