Then I look for Jana in my contacts and can't find her

Post by Bappy11 »

Tuesday morning, I'm on my way to the office. I've already checked my emails at home. Then I quickly looked through my social media channels, i.e. Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and then glanced over Spiegel.de - I'm ready.

I arrive at the office at 9:00 a.m. I turn on my laptop. “ Bling! ” Aha, there are three new emails in my inbox again. The first email seems extremely important. The subject line says “urgent” with three exclamation marks. My boss is apparently on tenterhooks and is urgently expecting a report from me. So I quickly reply to the entire email distribution list of 20 people and send him the requested, already prepared report. The other two emails don’t seem so… – “ Bling! ” My girlfriend writes to me via WhatsApp, asking if I could bring dishwasher tablets this evening. I can, I reply. Back to the emails. “ Bling! ” Max Mustermann wants to add you as a contact. Who was that again? Let me quickly check his profile first. Oh yes, the customer’s controller. OK, invitation accepted. But now… – “ Bling! ” Another email reply from the boss. He needs more details on the graphic on page five. So he quickly adds the information and sends it back by email.

After answering the other two emails, I go to get a coffee. “ Plong! ” This time a different kuwait telegram data sound comes from my phone. A Twitter message, someone has commented on my post. I'll take a look right away. Crap, at the same moment an appointment reminder pops up on my cell phone. Call with Jana in 15 minutes. Back at my desk with a cup of coffee in my hand, my thigh is vibrating again. Menno. My friend Benny asks me via Facebook Messenger if I'd like to have a spontaneous beer today. I give him a thumbs up. “ Bling! ” A new post (and another, and another) in our new Slack channel. Yes, direct communication like that is cool - reply right away. “ Bling! ”: “Please bring fabric softener too!” - “Of course, honey!” Now it's high time for the video call with Jana. I open Skype: Crap, an update is starting. To my surprise, it is actually going relatively quickly.
Damn! She uses Google Hangouts, right? Better check the invitation again - I've got 2 minutes left. Oh, this searching is making me angry. Ah, there she is. Call via Bluejeans. Via what? Bluejeans - never heard of it. Where can I find it? One more minute. Found Bluejeans. Quickly install it - luckily I have administrator rights. OK, I start Bluejeans. What a rush. 5 minutes later I've done it. Jana and I are talking to each other. But without a picture - I couldn't get the camera to work in such a short time. After the 30-minute non-video conference, I look at my smartphone. 10 likes for my Instagram post from last night - very cool! But now on to the next meeting, a Skype call with 4 colleagues. At least the camera works there.
